  : in Morocco, almost everyone who works with tourists is trying to cash in on them by any means. therefore, it is especially valuable when you can take a break from endless beggars and scammers in your hotel. Unfortunately, Yussuf is the manager of the Riad Artist: he will try to make the most of you. To begin with, I asked Yussuf where we could buy beer (in Morocco, alcohol is sold only in special places). he replied that he could buy for us. I asked how much it costs, he answered 3 euros per bottle. it was a little expensive, but we worked all day and we didn’t have the energy to go in search of beer on our own. there were four of us, so I asked for 10 bottles. Yussuf bought everything for our parish. 10 bottles but with a volume of 0.24 liters. I didn’t even know that such existed! Yussuf chose them because they were the cheapest: 1 euro each. in the end he earned 20 euros! great help! further more: on the last evening, Yussuf came up to me and said that he liked my jacket. and… asked me to give him the jacket as a present! I was greatly discouraged by such an offer and had to refuse, since I needed the jacket: it was cold. upon hearing the refusal, Yussuf tried to play his offer as a joke. with all this, Yussuf constantly repeated that his task was to make us happy and that he was very concerned about us. He asked me 3 times to write a good review about him and the riad. so here it is. there are no complaints about the riad, I liked everything. But the manager needs to be trained in good manners

  : Very friendly staff. Offered some guides and excursions which I did not take.The breakfast was very good and they were flexible on time.Great views from the terrace.Location is OK. It is a bit out of the way so is quieter. However it is a short walk to Place R'cif and, with a bit of planning, Bab Boujeloud.If arriving at the train station, you can get bus 19 to just after Bab Jdid.
  : The door to the Riad was always locked and you had to get the staff to open for you. A key for the outside door would have been good.Evening meal was good but was not available every night.

  : We booked the Riad L’artist based on the fantastic reviews. It was a completely different experience in person.I booked the guide with my company in advance , the owner of the riad wont keep my guide to come meet me in riad for fes guided tour .at the end I the end i know why !!! riad l’arstist has own guides but I advise you not to buy anything as you are with the Riad guides, buy when you are alone; riad tour guides take between 40 and 50 percent as commission, and they give a part of the commision (taken from shops) to Riad's managers/owners.

  : Very lovely Riad with friendly staff, good breakfast and nice welcome drink mint tea. Cool patio on roof - sometimes the staff can supply beer/wine for an evening drink. Manager also helped out by offering clothes washing service while we were out (~€15).
  : Shower drain was a little blocked but manageable.
